Welcome to Hawaiian Reiki!

It's sun-kissed life coaching for moving away from people-pleasing, scarcity thinking, and appearance obsession, and towards the love and abundance of Spirit—based on the tropical wisdom of Hawaiian aloha and pule.

And this now includes a fun little mini-course series, Confident Pink!

This is all a full-roasted blend of tropical belief upgrades, Sherlockian sleuthing, and unique positive energy exercises (based on Hawai'an Ho'oponopno, Huna, Time Line Therapy, and island drumming.)

I've posted the first Confident Pink course (presented by Eudora Holmes and her brother, Sherlock) in this section.  Samples are available below, under "What's New?"  More courses are coming soon, indeed!

Thanks so much for stopping by.   Feel free to contact me with questions about my work.

Have fun out there!  Aloha!

What's New?

Sizzle: An Overview

As you might expect, Sizzle Coaching is rooted in sizzling, positive energy.   (You've been warned!)

The practice is about helping people find new ways to trust themselves, moving forward heartily into life.  To fully share their gifts with the world, as they follow their dreams--with zest!  And in so doing, cultivating greater enjoyment in the present.

Although the focus is generally on confidence building, it isn't really about "being confident" as a personality trait. It's more about uncovering and shifting limiting beliefs (“I’m not good enough,” “I’ll mess this up,” and so forth).

It's about cultivating positive energy with unique, enjoyable exercises, inspired both by yoga, reiki, and especially Chinese qigong.

By working with the body’s energy systems (such as the breath, meridians, and chakras) my clients can often shift states more easily than before, releasing resistance and accessing greater clarity about their desires and the beliefs they hold.

My practice is also about developing helpful, loving self-talk that’s supportive rather than critical.

It's about helping you feel safe being seen, taking risks, and showing up as yourself, with confidence.

People often ask if my practice is "life coaching." There certainly is some overlap, because life coaching is about collaboration. It's a process designed to help people gain clarity, move toward meaningful goals, and create positive change in their lives.

It's not about fixing people, but supporting them in becoming more aligned, empowered, and intentional in how they live, and especially how they make decisions.

Life coaching is based on the idea that clients already have their own answers. Effective coaches don't have "the answer." They ask thoughtful questions, reflects insights, and create a space where clients can access their own inner wisdom. And then practical steps are worked out for moving forward.

So, yes, Sizzle Coaching is, in many ways, a form of life coaching--focused in particular on cultivating positive energy to help one move foward with confidence, fun, and flow.

The Confident Zone

One of the biggest mindset shifts I encourage in my clients is that comfort zones are NOT inherently bad. If you’re comfortable, does that really mean you're stagnant, or playing small?

That is a destructive myth.

We're told that growth only happens outside our comfort zones, so we should constantly push into discomfort. But comfort zones are actually natural, supportive states--where you feel safe, aligned, and capable.

The real issue isn’t comfort. It's unconscious limitation within comfort. Instead of abandoning comfort zones and pushing into the uncomfortable, you can expand your zone of comfort!

Growth can feel good, natural, and even joyful--without forcing yourself into stress.

We don't need to constantly push into fear. Success comes from building a larger and larger space where we feel comfortable being our full selves--with lives that include success, visibility, and abundance.

Grow your comfort zone until it includes the life you want.

The Set-Point Solution

We all have a "set-point" for feeling good--an internal limit on how much success, love, and happiness we allow ourselves to experience. If you find yourself sabotaging your own best efforts, well, perhaps this is why!

Even when life starts going really well, something will happen in the subconscious mind, as it gets uncomfortable with feeling good. And then we unconsciously create problems, tension, or self-sabotage to return to our familiar "setpoint" of feeling moderately okay, at best.

This is an internal ceiling that isn’t about ability. It’s about your tolerance for feeling good.

Over my last 25 years of coaching, it's become obvious to me that people are only willing to feel a certain amount of ease, joy, or abundance before old conditioning kicks in (tied to beliefs like “I don’t deserve this,” “this won’t last,” or “something bad will happen if I’m too happy”).

So, instead of moving forward and expanding into new levels of successful thriving, they contract back into familiar emotional territory.

The solution? Practice increasing your capacity to feel good—on purpose, and for longer periods of time. How fun!

Not chasing outcomes, but actually allowing yourself to rest in positive feelings--without immediately diluting them with worry, guilt, or doubt.

As you become willing to feel good more consistently—and even all the time, ideally—you stop triggering those unconscious upper limits. And when that resistance drops, success flows more easily. Because you’re not stopping it.

A Tribute To Mom

Are comfort zones are inherently bad? If you’re comfortable, does that mean you're stagnant, or playing small?

That is a myth.

We're told that growth only happens outside our comfort zones, so we should constantly push into discomfort. But comfort zones are actually natural, supportive states--where you feel safe, aligned, and capable. They’re not prisons. They're foundations.

The real issue isn’t comfort—it’s unconscious limitation within comfort. Instead of abandoning comfort zones, you can expand them!

You can bring new experiences into comfort, instead of forcing yourself into stress. Growth can feel good, natural, and even joyful! It needn't be uncomfortable.

We don't need to constantly push into fear. Success comes from building a larger and larger space where we feel comfortable being our full selves--with lives that include success, visibility, and abundance.

Grow your comfort zone until it includes the life you want.
